Harvest weekend

There's lots on for you to share in this weekend...

Saturday 5th October at 1730 for food at 1800, sees our pop-up Harvest Supper at St Peter's.  There are 134 adults and children confirmed with bookings now closed. We're really appreciative of Di & Andy Birmingham and the wider team making this possible. All the food is provided, but bring your own drinks & glasses! Come share, enjoy and lets delight in being a growing family!

Sunday 6th October at our 1030 gathering at St Peter's, sees Justin Humphreys, one of the CEO's of Thirtyone:eight speaking on, 'What would Jesus say to...' Originally from Bristol, Justin has worked in a variety of social work and youth work settings in both the statutory and voluntary sectors prior to joining Thirtyone:eight in 2010. Justin has also spent a number of years in local church leadership and governance in a thriving city church in the South West of England. He is passionate about advocating for issues of justice, the protection of vulnerable people, authentic leadership and a decent cup of coffee!

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and our churches work every day of the year to ensure they are safe places for all and it is always good to recognise this important commitment. Do support Safeguarding Sunday as we host it this weekend, to raise awareness and remind everyone why safeguarding is so important.  There are also safeguarding resources and prayers, designed for use in worship on the Church of England website.

Sunday at 1230 sees another christening at St Paul's – please pray for the Tolhurst family and Johnny as he leads this.

Sunday at 1830 at St Paul's, is our Harvest Celebration where, as part of our worship we will gather up food and monetary gifts for Swanley Foodbank. Items needed are UHT milk or powder, Tinned meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, custard, soup, pasta, rice and noodles, cereal, toothpaste, toilet rolls, shampoo, washing up liquid and laundry washing powder.  Johnny will be continuing our journey in Mark's gospel.

Our day closes with our monthly Overflow Celebration at 1945 onwards for a 2000 start at St Peter's. Justin will be our guest speaker with Adam leading us in sung worship. There’ll also be opportunity for prayer ministry.

Come and share with us this weekend...
