Thy Kingdom Come

We love taking part in Thy Kingdom Come! What's not to love about sharing in prayer and mission to bless our local communities, because of Jesus!

Last year we gave-away over 4.3K postcards and the reach, conversations and impact is still showing. Our Wednesday early morning prayer meeting is a direct result of last year's project. Also, it was a privilege to be one of the seven profiled projects by Lambeth Palace and the wider Thy Kingdom Come team. But the most encouraging thing was the many responses by text or email for prayer, input and support.

This weekend we launched our 2019 effort by doing a parish postcard drop across our two communities of Hextable and Swanley Village with twenty-seven people participating in the morning and afternoon efforts. The postcards are similar to last year with updated eye-catching artwork. They are an encouragement for our community to pray and be prayed for, with my email address and mobile phone no. provided for any responses. Whilst delivering them there were several great conversations had with our villagers, including one person who wanted prayer there and then!

Over the last month our church family were given ten of the postcards to use, message and inscribe something on the back for their friends, family and network near and far. We want to invite all of our world into the story of God. Inviting others to share in the widening circle of God's grace in Jesus. This is the best of the kingdom: of God's love, grace and welcome!

We'll be gathering in daily prayer pattern during the days of Ascension to Pentecost - 31st May to 9th June, at 7am or 7pm. Continuing this week*:- Monday 3rd June 7am led by Sarah, Tuesday 4th June 7pm led by Chris, Wednesday 5th June 7am led by Sue, Thursday 6th June 7pm led by Barbara and Friday 7th June 7am led by Angela. *7am gatherings at church, 7pm gatherings at the Vicarage.

We're excited to see what God will do, as we partner with God in seeking to bless, love and serve our local community. Design work by the brilliant Ian Masters, and print by the ever efficient SolopressWe are good news people because of what Jesus has done for us. Faith, hope and love make sense because of this. We're praying, 'Come Holy Spirit' for the blessing and good of many in our world!
